Mufflers and Catalytic Convertors - NETT Technologies, Canada

Mufflers ( or silencer in British English) is a exhaust system of an engine, designed to reduce emission and noise. They are installed along the exhaust piple as part of the exhaust system of an internal combustion engine to reduce its exhaust noise. The muffler accomplishes this with a resonating chamber, which is specifically tuned to cause, But they cannot reduce emission of harmful gases.

Catalytic Convertors : is a device installed to reduce the harmful emissions released from an engine exhaust. This is a part of an attempt to reduce the air pollution. Use of catalytic convertor has been successful in reducing the dangerous pollutants released by automobiles, by converting them to non toxic gases.

Odor Control System : Odor control systems remove unpleasant smells caused by gasses in industrial applications. They neutralize malodors, making them unavailable for olfactory senses to pick them up, thus improving working conditions. They are more effective than masking processes, which merely cover a bad smell with a stronger one as a temporary solution.

Areas it is used : They are often used in the waste industry, in landfills, solid and liquid waste management and sewers. In facilities that produce large amounts of methane such as pulp and paper plants or livestock processing, mist collectors and oxidizers are used as odor control systems. Air handling equipment, chemical manufacturing, and pesticide and herbicide manufacturing also use odor control systems in their facilities.
